I enjoyed your review of I'll Cry Tomorrow. Susan Hayward certainly had an acting range beyond melodrama, but it was in these parts that she achieved the most success. She made another boozey film called Smash-Up. I believe it is in Smash-Up that she meets an AA member in the person of Eddie Albert. It's been awhile, and this might be the wrong movie, but I do remember a vivid scene where she sort of stumbles into AA and Eddie (friend of Bill W.) helps her on the road to recovery.
